During a free period, Aaron and I discussed the possibility of using a new 3D printer filament, CPE. The filament has excellent toughness with resistance to chemicals and temperatures up to 70 ˚C, dimensional stability over longer periods of time, and it’s ideal for short run manufacturing and functional prototypes.
We also discussed:
- A new wheel system with an optional track that can be easily slipped on over the top of the wheels.
- Different processing board/computer, with far more power.
- Custom designed board to serve as the motherboard of the robot. All other boards/devices can be plugged into the board and locked in
- New sensors, maybe including a laser for mapping.
