Today we were interviewed by the Canberra Times for an upcoming article. We’ll include a scan and possibly a link when it is published!

After the interview, the team examined the new Intel NUC provided by Gerard. This is going to be the new “brain” of the robot. It’s far more expensive than a Raspberry Pi, however with that increased price point comes increased processing power. Specifications are as follows:

  • Model – DN2820FYKH
  • Storage – 60GB Kingston SSD
  • RAM  – 4GB Kingston
  • CPU – Intel Celeron N2830 @ 2.16GHz x2

Later, Aaron and I continued working on the new website. With the DNS servers finally propagated, we were able to access the site and fix the issues that have been giving us trouble for the past few days. I added images to every existing blog post while Aaron restored a number of backups from the old site.

We’re hoping to have a team meeting sometime soon to discuss where we are heading for RoboCup 2017 in Nagoya, Japan.
